"Upon further reflection," said Poison Pie, "I abhor puns. I have never pretended
to harbor any great fondness for them but now I am, as they say, coming out. I hate puns.
When I see them, I step on them. First I raise the alarm, then I stamp them out, like a campfire or a beetle."
Poison Pie raised his bare, gargantuan foot and there, on the banks of the Tennessee river, demonstrated his powerful
stamping technique. If I were a pun, I would indeed be afraid.
